A fresh twist on the coming-of-age genre, Megan Park’s sophomore feature stars Maisy Stella as Elliot, a free-spirited teenager who comes face-to-face with her future self (played by Aubrey Plaza) after an 18th birthday mushroom trip. But when Elliott’s wise-cracking “old ass” starts handing out warnings about what her younger self should and shouldn’t do, Elliott realises she has to rethink everything about family, love and friendships over one transformative summer.
